The College of Alameda Big Band performs on the USS Hornet Museum

The College of Alameda Big Band has been invited to perform aboard the USS Hornet Museum. On Saturday, May 21st, there will a ceremony commemorating Naval aviators of WWII. As part of a presentation by several retired WWII naval pilots, the big band will be helping to re-create the atmosphere of the 1940’s through the performance of classic swing music….This should prove to be the start of an ongoing relationship between the USS Hornet Museum and COA’s music department.
